The Autofluid High Volume Pump features a variable speed motor to prevent fluid from being sucked into the pump. This pump does not have a self priming design so it must be primed at the pump. Set the flow control to high and use the drain bottle to remove any air from the reservoir. Autofluid, Repair, Pump, Reservoirs.
Description: A Ford Modification for removing the fluid from the power steering reservoir without draining the entire system.
This unit makes removal and re-installation of power steering fluid less messy by allowing you to drain the reservoir of fluid without draining the entire system. A feature of the pump is to check the fluid level with a needle sighted at the bottom of the reservoir before pumping begins.
The pump is designed to work with all fluids and with all steering pump types. If the fluid remains high at the bottom of the reservoir, the pump will continue to fill the reservoir with fluid until the reservoir is full. Although this may be annoying at first, it is necessary in order to properly mix the power steering fluid, and it is a good way to save fluid.
Safety Warning. Do not use this product if the reservoir is cracked or leaking.
Any leaking of fluid will contaminate the pump and will require service. Before use, be sure the fluid is completely drained from the reservoir and if the fluid is not completely drained, it may get into the pump and be pumped to the engine, causing damage.
